The Top 21 Lingerie Brands of 2021
During these unprecedented times, we have found ourselves at home. ALL. THE. TIME. With limited places to go and little we can do, we have found ourselves reflecting inward more... and being comfortable while doing so. Workout, lounge, and athleisure fashion has skyrocketed in sales during the pandemic, but you know what else has? Lingerie.
We have found that what we wear underneath it all is just as important (if not more) as what the world can see.
I have compiled a list of the top 21 lingerie brands of 2021. I have broken this list into three sections: High-End, Budget-Friendly, and the Classics. As a bonus, you can also take a style quiz to find your perfect look as well!
WHAT IS YOUR LINGERIE STYLE QUIZ:
Top 7 High-End Lingerie Brands of 2021
1.) Taryn Winters
By no mistake, Taryn Winters is at the top of my list. Taryn has one of the most beautiful bespoke lingerie brands on the market. Taryn Winters lingerie is just living art. This brand is the perfect combination of elegant, subtly sexy, modern, and feminine. Her brand is made for women of all sizes. You can see how movement and flow were naturally built into the silhouettes of her work. Nothing was an afterthought, and it's clear.
My Favorite Pieces:
2.) Honey Birdette
Honey Birdette is made for women who know what the hell they want out of life. Honey Birdette is one of the top lingerie brands on everyone's list, and for good reason. This sexy ass brand does an AMAZING job letting the woman tell her own story. Her beauty and sexuality are not defined by someone else, she makes the rules. Honey Birdette continues to push the limit in both design and attitude. This lingerie is for the confident, sexually assured, and dominating woman. If I were to describe Honey Birdette in three words it would read" ultra-feminine, desirable, and demanding. Their website is fucking POPPIN'!!!!!
My Favorite Pieces:
3.) Journelle
Journelle is your one-stop-shop for an array of high-end lingerie brands and designers. These brands include Chantelle, Natori, Bordelle, and Only Hearts. Journelle is run by women for women and includes styles, moods, and vibes for every situation.
My Favorite Pieces:
4.) Agent Provocateur
Agent Provocateur is the GODMOTHER of SEXY AS FUCK lingerie! Let's keep it 100%. This is the original gangsta of unapologetic luxury lingerie for women! Agent Provocateur always provides innovative cuts, fabrics, and styling. If you are looking to push it to the max and still smell like Gucci, this is your brand.
My Favorite Pieces:
5.) for Love and Lemons
Every time I visit the Love and Lemons website, I feel like I have been invited to the cool girl's table. For Love and Lemons is for women who love their lingerie to have a dual purpose. To be both fashionable and functional. Recently they introduced a beautiful collab with Victoria's Secret that you MUST check out (spoiler art, they made this list too).
My Favorite Pieces:
6.) Tisja Damen
I won't lie, this brand only recently popped up on my radar. I enjoy finding a new brand to purchase from. Tisja Damen is a European based lingerie company, but the extra shipping cost may be with the price. Tisja lingerie is raw, real, and romantic. I appreciate how her pieces are made for everyone's body type.
My Favorite Pieces:
7.) Impish Lee
Impish Lee stands out from the crowd by offering customizable intimates for every body type. Soooooo fetch. The landing page on the site allows you to pick the color you want of your ideal lingerie. Additionally, it requires you to choose your skin complexion to help start your own journey of being a lingerie designer. Not ready to be a lingerie designer? Then shop from their ready-made collection. Goddess sized women, this is your website!
My Favorite Pieces:
BUDGET FRIENDLY LINGERIE
8.) Fashion Nova
Fashion Nova is the NUMBER one spot to go if you are looking for fast fashion on a budget, but don't overlook their lingerie section. If you are looking for daring, fun, and CHEAP lingerie quickly, then Fashion Nova is the spot.
My Favorite Pieces:
9.) She-In
If you need an array of beautiful and colorful lingerie for EVERY style type, then stop by Shein. I would say that Shein is more affordable than Fashion Nova. I have seen pieces as cheap at $2 on this site. However, most pieces start at $8. In recent years Shein's supply chain has evolved. Therefore, you aren't waiting long to receive your sexy pieces.
My Favorite Pieces:
10.) Amazon
I know! I know! When you think of lingerie, Amazon is not the first site in mind. However, they do have an array of choices. While Amazon is not a cheap as Shein, if you have a Prime account, your pieces will be at your house in under 48 hours.
My Favorite Pieces:
11.) WISH
Wish sells EVERYTHING, including lingerie. The only downside about Wish is that it could be a hit or miss if your lingerie is actually is mailed out from the vendor. However, the trade-off could be you purchasing cute lingerie set for $1. If your product doesn't arrive, Wish is great about refunding your money.
My Favorite Pieces:
12.) Savage Fenty
Rihanna did the world a favor by introducing us to Savage Fenty. If you are looking for lingerie that is affordable, trendy, and can fit EVERY sized woman, then Savage Fenty is your brand. You also can take a style quiz Savage Fenty can accurately recommend lingerie pieces for you.
My Favorite Pieces:
13.) Playful Promises
Playful Promises is another lingerie site that caters to women of all sizes. The best part? Their pieces are fun, modern, and well... playful. Playful Promises prices may be on the more affordable side, but they look high-end and unique.
My Favorite Pieces:
14.) FigLeaves
Not going to lie, I LOVE this brand's name. It is so clever. As far as design goes, there is sophistication in simplicity. If you are looking for something cute and casual to wear around the house but still sexy enough to entice an afternoon romp, this is the look for you.
My Favorite Pieces:
The Classics
15.) Victoria's Secret
You can't make a top lingerie list without Victoria's Secret. This brand has aligned itself as the authority of sexy. Victoria's Secret is likely where most of us started buying cute underwear after graduating from whatever big box store our parents were taking us. Victoria's Secret has really stepped up its game in recent years. Going so far as collaborating with other high-end lingerie brands (like for Love and Lemons).
My Favorite Pieces:
15.) Aerie
If comfort is your one and only concern, then Aerie it is! Aerie is both the perfect blend of classic and modern. This brand stays on top of the trends but never strays from the self-identity it's created.
My Favorite Pieces:
17.) Nubian Skin
Finally, lingerie has more than ONE definition of "nude". Nubian Skin is a BoB (Black Owned Business) created by Ade Hassan. This line of lingerie caters to the more melanated women of the world. Ms. Hassan's line was launched in 2014 with four skin-tines for women of color. Check our her Harpers Bazaar interview on her five golden rules for success.
My Favorite Pieces:
18.) Wolf & Whistle
If you're looking for something casual but still hot enough that it will cause a 5 alarm fire, then off to Wolf & Whistle we go! Wolf & Whistle does a marvelous job of balancing sexy and fashionable. Its designs are sexy but not intimidating. Inviting for all eyes.
My Favorite Pieces:
19.) Anthropology
I know! I know! When you think of lingerie Anthropology is not the first place your think of. However, trust me on this one. If you are looking for super cute low-key pieces to wear around the house, then check out Anthropology.
My Favorite Pieces:
20.) Bravissimo
If you are a full cup or bigger chest woman, Bavissimo caters to your tribe. I'm like you, my cup size is a DD, and it is damn near impossible to find comfortable, cute, and fashionable lingerie pieces to wear in and out of the bedroom. Cup sizes start at Ds and go up from there.
My Favorite Pieces:
21.) Lounge Underwear
If you are looking for something fun, colorful, and dominating, then LOUNGE should be a brand to check out. LOUNGE is poppin' on social media and often finds itself selling out on the site when new pieces are dropped. The best part about it, the sets are super affordable AND don't look cheap. The BEST part about LOUNGE is that this brand allows you to really customize your bra and panty sets. For example, some companies may just say you're large and mail you the run-of-the-mill large. LOUNGE allows you to pick your actual size bra size and bottoms. Bonus? They go up to a DD!!!!!
My Favorite Pieces:
BONUS
Catherine D'Lish
I have to say that I LOVE ME SOME CATHERINE DELISH. Her robes are a WHOLE mood. This is what I imagine women in the '50s wore after poisoning their billion-dollar husbands after years of cheating scandals. If you are doing a boudoir session, this is a MUST have piece!
My Favorite Pieces:
Let me know if I missed any brands! I'm in love with lingerie and discovery new designers or companies. Be sure to check our LINGERIE STYLE QUIZ, and if you are interested in a boudoir session use the contact form below and let us create art!
Sexy Lazy Saturday in Los Angeles | Los Angeles Boudoir Session
While I am a boudoir photographer based in Dallas, Texas I do enjoy traveling to other states to shoot. One of my favorite places in the world is Los Angeles. What's not to love? Palm trees, great weather, and better food. Let me tell you, that the ladies out in LA did not disappoint!
The thing is, I did have each one of the ladies I captured complete a questionnaire for the blog after it was completed, but my dumbass didn't think to have them write their names on their forms so I don't know which woman wrote what. So, unfortunately, all the Los Angeles boudoir blog post will have to come through my perception.
I know! I love hearing directly from the clients as well!
I send out questionnaires after the sessions because I love to hear feedback. I also use those questionnaires to help write the blog post. However, I fucked up because I didn't ask for the names of each one of the contributors so I don't know who wrote what responses. LOL. What's crazy is all the ladies pretty much responded the same to each one of the questions so I'm just going to have to improvise for these next four blog post. LOL.
Ms. A and I have been trying to shoot together for a while now. I was supposed to come out to LA last year, but things just fell apart. When it came to this round I made it my priority to make sure she was the first person I told when I was coming out to LA. Let me tell you, she did not disappoint.
Having confidence in whatever you're doing ( even if you have no idea what it is) will have an amazing impact of how you work looks. For example, Ms. A exuded a level of confidence that is hard to find with most people. In that confidence, you can see how much she loves and appreciates who she is. That is what I love to capture in my photographs. When you have this level of confidence your sex appeal goes up at least 5,007%.
Let's be honest, self-love is the sexiest and most important love of them all.
One of my favorite parts about shooting Ms. A was her attitude. She was up for anything, had an open mind, but wasn't scared to voice her thoughts. Even when I directed her for a pose she took that suggestion and then brought it up one more notch and it made it her own.
Another thing I really enjoyed was putting the outfits together. I will have to be honest with you here. You can't EVER tell how big anyone is based on photos. Let me tell you, the girls in LA are all super small. They may be curvy, but they are small. With that being said I brought a number of items that I thought would be too big for her, but they ended up working perfectly. While I loved each of the looks one of my favorites was the undershirt that we cut to showcase underboob (cuz who doesn't love underboob) and paired with these super sexy tights that had rhinestones all over it. Geez. That look was fun, sexy, and out of this world.
HOW TO STYLE A BOUDOIR SESSION
Just a note, a lot of people think that for boudoir session you have to spend thousands of dollars on your outfits. Honestly, you could just come in naked and that would be perfectly fine with me. If you are too shy to bare it all for your first boudoir session then that’s not a problem. Keep in mind that when styling for your session you should think outside the box and not necessary rock lingerie for your session.
STYLE YOUR BOUDOIR SESSION BASED ON YOUR LOCATION
In Ms. A first look we used a comfy knit sweater and some cute but bright yellow panties. Since we were shooting in a studio apartment then I wanted the vibe to be more Saturday afternoon/Sunday morning lazy. Something sweet and cozy. The best way to accomplish that is by wearing a sweater in your boudoir session.
HOW TO COLOR BLOCK FOR A BOUDOIR SESSION
WHAT IS COLOR BLOCKING?
When you're styling for a boudoir session keep colors in mind. I am a huge fan of color blocking. Color blocking is the art of taking complementary colors on the color wheels and pairing them together.
Most people think that color blocking is just wearing opposite colors on the color wheel. In fact, it's not that simple. There are three ways to color block:
Complimentary: Using two colors opposite each other on the color wheel
Triad: Using three colors that are equal distance from each other on the color wheel
Analogous: Using colors that fall right next to each other on the color wheel.
In Ms. A case we used the Analogous formula of color blocking for her second look. Mind you, this look is sexy as fuck! Most of the shoots taken can't be pinned on Pinterest, but this is my website and I'll do what I want (Cartman voice). I love how purple and blue rock together.
Besides sweaters, robes are a sexy way to spruce up your boudoir session. The best part about using robes in your boudoir session is how they naturally fall on your frame. They always seem to know where to fall to flatter you the most. The sheerness of her purple robe just electrifies her look.
The last look was from an iconic American brand. Remember how I said that boudoir outfits don't have to cost you a whole mortgage payment? Well, this silver bodysuit from American Apparel was picked up for only $1! Yes, girl! I said one dollar! I am a WHOLE sucker for a closeout sale.
Maybe about a year or so ago American Apparel closed down most (if not all) of their US locations and became an online retailer. To liquidate their products they were having massive blowout sales and I picked up a NUMBER of items for only $1. This metallic bodysuit was one of them. When you're out shopping for your boudoir session make sure you keep an open and fun mind about what you want to wear. Not everything has to come from Agent Provocateur!
I have to admit that I had an amazing time shooting Ms. A out in LA. I cannot wait to get other again and shoot her. She was an absolute dream to work with. I couldn't have dreamt of anything better.
SONG OF THE WEEK
Every week I'm going to post a video that I can't get out of my head. This week it's Lil' Wayne's Uproar ft Swizz Beats:

7 Best Places to Buy Lingerie Online
Right after booking a session with me panic mode kicks in... WHERE DO I FIND SEXY LINGERIE PIECES THAT DON'T BREAK THE BANK?! Today I will bring you 7 online stores that you can buy sexy lingerie from for your boudoir session.
FIRST: FIND YOU LINGERIE STYLE QUIZ!
1.) Victoria's Secret
Let's just get the obvious out of the way first. Victoria's Secret is clearly the leader in lingerie. They have an array of pieces in a range of prices that won't make you swear bullets.
If you are a novice when it comes to styling then the best starting place is Victoria's Secrets. I have also noticed that Victoria's Secret has really stepped up their styling game.
Pro Tip: Try to shop in the larger Victoria's Secrets. The bigger stores house more inventory. These stores tend to get more of the online inventory and often hold some of the better pieces in the back. Always ask sales associates if they have any cool new pieces in the back that haven't made it to the front.
DON'T OVERLOOK: The bodysuits. Victoria's Secret has some of THE SEXIEST bodysuits in the game!
Some of my Favorite Bodysuits:
2.) Yandy.com:
Yandy has some of the most incredibly priced lingerie out there. They probably have over 2000 online SKUs. If you can imagine it they probably have it. If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to Victoria's Secret with more color options then Yandy.com may be your site.
Don't Overlook: The color choices from Yandy
Some of my Favorite Bodysuits:
3.) MissGuided:
I have to say this is ONE of my FAVORITE places to find bodycon dresses. If you are looking for a sexy dress to wear as part of your boudoir session then MissGuided will be your place. One of my favorite things about this UK based company is that your shipment comes to the States really fast! I'm not sure if they have hubs in the US as well, but they are fast and efficient and I never have to wait too long for my package to show up.
PRO TIP: Check the site often as that always have flash sales from 30-50% off.
5 of the HOTTEST bodycon dresses for boudoir
4.) ASOS:
This is another amazing UK based fashion site. I have to say that the British really know a thing or two about good fashion. Like MissGuided, the shipping from ASOS is unbelievably fast. I will tell you that I get my packages faster from ASOS than I do Forever 21, which is an American company.
The thing I love best about ASOS is the array of brands they work with on the site. The buyers do a great job curating pieces.
PRO TIP: Shop the swimsuit section for traditional lingerie alternatives
5.) Forever 21:
Outside of the shipping I just LOVE Forever 21. When I'm asked to style client boudoir sessions about 80% of the pieces come from Forever 21. Forever 21 has SKU's for days. I'm lucky that I'm based in Texas because we have some of the BIGGEST Forever 21's in the world located out of here(However, that Forever 21 in Time Square is nothing to scoff at).
However, I have to admit that shopping online for Forever 21 is much easier for me. The stores just have SO MUCH FREAKING inventory that is can be very overwhelming.
PRO TIP: Forever 21's return policy sucks. Therefore if you are interested in a piece there is a VERY good chance you will find it in store. Stop by a Forever 21 location with the item number to locate the piece. Sometimes actually going into the store is better because you will see if the piece in person.
6.) H&M:
I LOVE H&M's Lingerie section! Yassssss Girl! Out of all the places I have listed I must say that I prefer the lingerie section at H&M the best. The bras feel the best here. Actually, my favorite bra comes from H&M.
Here is the problem with H&Ms lingerie section though... they don't have it in every store. I KNOW! In fact, when I was in Playa del Carmen in February that's when I first learned that H&M even had a lingerie section. When I came back to Dallas I tried to find it here only to find out that all H&Ms are not created equal. We only have one location here that has lingerie... and it's not that big. I know in LA and Houston the lingerie sections in those stores are much better.
PRO TIP: Call your location H&M first to find out if they have a lingerie section before you go there.
Sexy Lingerie Pieces from H&M:
7.) Adore Me
Alexis is my stylist, friend, and client that put me to Adore me. Adore me is a subscription based site that specializes in lingerie. While their pieces are super cute I can say that they don't feel comfortable. At least for me. I feel that the pieces are better suited for women with a smaller chest. If you are heavy chested I would not 100% recommend Adore Me. However, Adore Me has a great selection of pieces for you to pick from. You can get these sets for $40.
These Awesome Sets from Adore Me:
Planning for your boudoir session shouldn't cost you an arm and a leg. The 7 locations mentioned are beautiful and cost effective. You will also be able to wear this pieces in your everyday life so you will get you cost per wear out of them.
Let me know of all the places covered which is you favorite

We Found Boudoir in a Hopeless Place | Dallas Boudoir Photography
Alexis is one of my favorite people in the world. She is a fashion stylist and model who recently relocated to New York City for work and love. She came back to Dallas in late December to visit family and friends for the holidays. While in town she requested that I shoot some photos of her for her new blog, Lone Star in the City. Since Alexis is amazing I couldn’t say no to her!
WHAT HAD HAPPEN WAS...
If you guys weren’t aware on December 26, 2016 major tornadoes hit the North Texas area demolishing blocks and blocks of neighborhoods while many people lost their lives.
Yeah, we were shooting on that day. In fact this was supposed to be a twilight boudoir session over the city of Dallas. However, due to turbulent and unpredictable weather we brought the boudoir session inside of my building.
Yes, these shots took place in the stairwell of my building! I love how the moody emptiness is also an unspoken and unseen character in these photos. These photos emphasize her adult allure and sexiness. .
Check out this video we made with Alexis. It’s crazy how just the most simplistic of places can spark the most incredible settings.
THE BOUDOIR OUTFIT BREAKDOWN
BOUDOIR OUTFIT
This whole outfit came from Victoria’s Secret. I just adore gold hardware and exposed zippers. I feel like exposed zippers are a node to vintage quality and craftsmanship. This exposed zipper on this corset top proved to elevate the game of sexiness when it comes to seductive designs.
The matching panties to this set were so incredibly tantalizing. Too bad they are no longer on sale. It’s so hard to find geometric cut outs on panties, and these were perfect for that.
The skirt was my FAVORITE part of this whole look. First of all who doesn’t love silk? Only crazy people. There is just SOMETHING about silk that makes you feel instantly high class, sophisticated, and sexy. Turn that into a tulle maxi skirt and you are asking for any woman to bring out their innermost Upper East side sexiness.
BOUDOIR HAIR
The hair was just simple. I wanted to do a high poofy and messy bun that sat on the top of her head, but because the outfit was so slick and Spanish inspired we opted for the more for a sleek look to embrace the aura of the feel.
Later in our session I asked Alexis to take her hair down because it was "too" perfect (if you notice in my photos I have a thing for messy-sex-in-the-morning hair. I wanted to something more grunge, real, and could evoke an emotion of relaxed power and longing.
We leveraged Alexis hair as an element of storytelling. Look how well Alexis brings in her hair to help elevate the allure of the photos.
BOUDOIR MAKEUP
There is a reason they refer to Jazzy as the King. He knows what he’s going. I love how he took a chance by placing a bold red lip on a woman of such a dark complexion. He helped add drama to the overall look by creating an intense smokey eye look. Doing this created a sense of mysterious coy power.
This couldn’t have been more fitting for such a crazy night.
ONE MORE NOTE
One camera you should ALWAYS have on your shoots is the Fuji Instamax. We has SUCH a blast with this camera. You have to check out the fun photos we took below.
Be sure to follow Alexis’s new blog, Lonestar in the City. It is a fashion and lifestyle blog that documents how Alexis will navigate her way through New York City as a Texas Native.
Question of the Day!
In the comment section PLEASE let me know your favorite photo of Alexis and why. Also let me know if you have a Fuji Instamax and what you think about it.
If you’re interested in a session with us please feel free to fill out the form below and a member from our team will reach out to you within 24 hours!
Have a Great Day!
How to Style Your Boudoir Session
Dallas Boudoir studio Wonderland Boudoir loves to make you feel ready for your boudoir session. One of the most important elements of a session is your style. What you wear to a boudoir session can make or break your photos. Today we interviewed New York stylist Alexis Coats. Alexis is a recent graduate of UNT. She is also a model and a freelance stylist in New York. Today she will speak to us about how to properly prepare your style for a beautiful and flawless boudoir session.
The Basic Principles of Style
Style is not only important in everyday life it’s important for your photos. When preparing for your boudoir session you need to dress for your body and not for trends. “All women should dress to their body type and not the trends that are out there… don’t risk looking your best by wearing a trend that may not be flattering on you.”
Alexis goes on to explain, “Dress for yourself and not what you see in the magazines. You don’t always have to follow every single trend.” This is very true. Trends are not classic looks. They come in and out so fast is can sometimes be waste to try and keep up with every cool look out. Take careful consideration before fully investing in a piece. Consider how this trend works with the rest of your wardrobe and how it will fair season after season.
Black is a color that Alexis suggest that all women keep in their closet. Black goes with everything and when you're ever in a fashion rut you can always count on black to be a perfect base that you don’t have to think about twice.
When it comes specifically to boudoir and lingerie you need to make sure that you wear lingerie that fits. Alexis suggest going to get a professional fitting to get your correct bra size. Not only will this professional fitting look better in photos it will make you feel more comfortable which will help you to be more confident in front of the camera.
Favorite Lingerie Brands
Lingerie is an essential part of boudoir photography. One of Alexis's favorite brands is the Aerie intimates line from Aeropostale. Victoria’s Secret is also a great source for beautiful boudoir lingerie and can be budget friendly if you catch the right sale. Alexis also suggested the site Adore Me. Adore Me is a new subscription site based around the beauty of lingerie.
When signing up for Adore Me you are first asked take a fashion quiz that helps determine the type of lingerie that best fits your style. Once you have completed one of the easiest signs up that I have ever been through (It was literally your email and then create a password! That’s it!) you are taken to your showroom. If you order within the first hour your first set is only $20!
Just like every other subscription based site you have until the first 5 or 6 days to skip the month. If you don’t you will be charged $40 and that will sit on your account until you use the credit. Shipping, returns, and exchanges are all free.
If you want to order but don’t want to do the subscription based services than you can just pay full price for the set, which is $50.
My First Adore Me Order
Above is my first showroom with Adore Me. I am loving all these styles! Very sexy and all are very perfect for boudoir! I ALMOST went with Lorelai!
For my first purchase I ended up going with a classic, Lydia. It’s a racerback lingerie set. I wear A LOT of racerbacks (I’m in Texas so sleeves don’t mean much down here) so I think this will work perfectly for me. I will do a review of it when I get it in the mail… and then speak about it in real a life scenario.
New York Fashion Week
For Fall Alexis is most excited about the ‘70’s vibe that’s hitting the streets. She is looking forward to the bell bottoms jeans and comfortable cable knit sweaters. The best part of this particular revival is that you can find it in just about any thrift store. This is a great alternative if you want to be frugal while exploring this trend.
For Spring/Summer 2016 she’s excited about seeing the ‘70’s trend blending over in this season. Not only fashion, but beauty as well. The ‘70’s makeup look is way understated and much more natural.
Trends that We Need to Lose
We need to get rid of these sharpie eyebrows! Not only that but the body modifications. This is why Alexis is excited about the ‘70’s trend coming back. “Less is more. I think this is will help the younger generation accept who they are not try to be something they are not.”
Contact Alexis with any Styling Questions!
Wasn’t Alexis just great? I have photographed Alexis as a model and a stylist a number of times. I love her work ethic, drive, and commitment. She’s is amazing. If you’re looking for a wonderful stylist please contact Alexis. She will have a site up soon!

Bohemian Inspired Boudoir Session
Today we are going to showcase a Bohemian inspired boudoir session!
Over the past month we have showed you stlyized boudoir sessions create by Alexis K Coats with wardrobe provided by Apricot Lane of Dallas. The hair and makeup is by Jill of #Glambition. Each session represented something different. Ciara with Bridal Boudoir. Jolesa with Strength, and now we have Jenna serving use that Bohemian realness.
For Jenna we wanted to give a more sultry sexy. Jill opted for huge crimped hair and makeup that really made her blue eyes pop. In her first outfit Alexis dressed Jenna is a 90’s esque full length white lace dress. On her shoulders drapes a beautiful black embroidered kimono.
As far as accessories go the motto was, “Too much is never enough.” Alexis had her rocking the stone bangles and dripped crystal pendants around her neck.
However if you really want the details of what she wore be sure to check out our post on How to Style a Bridal Boudoir Shoot. I believe this will come in handy for you regardless if you're getting married or not.
Three Things You Can Learn from Jenna
1. It’s okay to be nervous.
Jenna was really nervous about her session because she doesn’t model and has never done boudoir. However, she did place her trust in myself and Alexis, who also models. Alexis gave Jenna very detailed instruction to help her out and ease her fears. She even gave her some excercises to practice at home for her next photo shoot.
2. It’s Okay to Take Control.
Believe it or not Jenna's eyelashes are 100% organic. She takes such good care of them and doesn’t let anyone, but herself, touch her eyelashes. Sometimes ladies are scared to speak up, but what I liked about Jenna is what she wasn’t and was able to verbalize what she does and does not want to do. If you don't feel comfortable or have an idea that better suits you don't be scared to speak up because your photographer wants you to feel as comfortable as possible.
3. Listen.
Jenna may have been nervous but you would have never noticed because she took the time and listened to us and own her photos. Like Jolesa, Jenna listened with intent so she was able to pull off some of the mose beautiful pictures. When you take the time and listen to your photographer about posing and how to do the poses your photos will come out amazing.
Without further ado here are Jenna’s photos.
I hope today’s post helped you understand how to prep for your session and gave your style ideas for your next boudoir session.
If you’re in the Dallas Fort Worth area and want to have a boudoir session please check out our investment page and contact us to schedule a time to speak regarding your session!
