Vitiligo Boudoir: In my Skin, I Win

One of the biggest pleasures in shooting boudoir is meeting and capturing Ms. I. She is the first boudoir client I have photographed with vitiligo.

Ms. I is an incredible woman with a beautiful story. Too often, people think boudoir is just about getting in front of the camera and looking pretty. But as we all know, there is so much more to boudoir than just getting dolled up. It's about the story that leads women to this moment. While Ms. I's story may be triggering to some, it serves as a beautiful inspirational narrative influenced by embracing your full self-worth ONLY validated by you.

Q: I just have to say it, your confidence level is out of this world! Have you always been this confident? If not, how did you learn to be confident?

A: Oh good God no! I had low confidence since I was a teenager because I didn't like how my body was built. I was literally shaped like a lower case letter "i" and had no boobs and butt. Then I was a late bloomer in college and thanks to track and field, I finally got a butt but still no boobs. For the longest, I thought I had a "man" body and was too muscular and not curvy. While I was in college, I developed vitiligo which increased my insecurities because the dermatologist said, "I'm so sorry...and you had such beautiful brown skin." I felt cursed. Unfortunately having low confidence and self-esteem can attract the wrong people in your life which led me to get raped by a wolf in sheep's clothing. I continued to beat myself and hated the image that I saw in the mirror. Then there comes a point that even in your lowest moment, the only direction you can truly look is up. The truth to life is that nobody will love you more than you ever love yourself. So treat yourself right. With that in mind, I accepted my circumstances (thank you Serenity prayer) and started to take pride in my skin condition and view myself as a "work of art."

Q: You were a delight to work with. When planning your boudoir session, what emotions were you feeling?

A: No lie I was super nervous because I NEVER thought in my life I would be right for a boudoir shoot. When I think of boudoir, I think of Victoria's Secret models who have an idealistic body with perfect boobs and hour shape body. I didn't have that type of body, but I was willing to embrace the challenge. Once the nerves went away, I got excited because I'm about to do something that will break an old mental wall that I carried since I was a teenager.

Q: Compared to before the session, how did you feel during and after the shoot?

A: Once I tried on the beautiful one-piece lingerie, I was shocked because I never thought that I had the body for lingerie. I looked at myself in the mirror, embraced the image, and felt empowered because I knew that this shoot will be special. The boudoir shoot was the first time that I felt truly sexy in a genuine way. I'm an awkward nerd, but the boudoir session brought out an inner sex kitten that I didn't know existed. For the first time ever, I felt a "model's" high after the shoot. It was like holy sh*t I did it! I broke a mental wall that held me back from really loving myself. Thanks to that shoot, I'm more motivated than ever to buy more lingerie and participate in more boudoir shoots.

Q: We shoot a lot of women, all with incredible stories and backgrounds. However, you are the first person who we had the privilege of capturing who has Vitiligo. I love how you have owned this. I know learning about this for some people can be really hard. How did you own this and what do you hope to teach people about Vitiligo?

A: It took me a very long time to own my vitiligo instead of letting vitiligo own me. As a matter of fact, I remember watching an episode of America's Next Top Model, and Shaun Ross (model with albinism) exuded so much confidence and comfort in his skin, and he brought up his campaign that he was running. He said the one phrase that's still embedded in my head forever. "In my skin, I win!" Once Shaun said that a light bulb came on in my head, and I started to view my spots as if they were art pieces in my body canvas.

My biggest hope is that images of myself and others with vitiligo will help people in society to not look at us or others with physical imperfections as freaks or with pity. We're humans just like everybody else and beautiful too with our perfect imperfections.

Q: There seems to be a change in tide with the concept of beauty in our world, especially in the world of vitiligo. One of the most famous names right now is Winnie Harlow. How does the expansion of beauty norms make you feel?

A: I'm so inspired and ecstatic. Winnie Harlow opened the doors for many of us with vitiligo, and it's a breath of fresh air to see other people with vitiligo in photoshoots or acting. I'm happy to see that the definition of the "standard of beauty" is changing and helping others who are insecure to embrace themselves.

Q: What is one misconception about vitiligo that you would like to clear up?

A: Unfortunately there is a good amount of ignorant people who believe that vitiligo is a "curse" from the bible (in reference to having leprosy). We're not cursed, and there's a difference between having leprosy and vitiligo. We're human beings and not bad "cursed" people.

Dallas Boudoir White Lingerie Vitiligo Model (5).png

Q: You are also an actress. What inspired you to get into acting and who are some of the greats whose careers you admire?

A: I loved the attention I got from friends and family as a kid when I told stories and doing impressions of others. My mom exposed me to a lot of theater plays and movies; therefore I knew that acting was my creative outlet for expressing myself. As for actors, I absolutely love Viola Davis and Meryl Streep. Meryl Streep is the prime example that you don't have to be super gorgeous to make it but let your talent do the talking for you. Viola Davis is everything to me. You know you're a phenomenal actress if doing the ugly cry with snot running out of your nose will help you win an Oscar (Movie Fences) or Emmy (How to Get Away With Murder).

Q: If there is one thing you want the world to learn about you, what would you want to convey?

A: In the words of Janelle Monae, "Even if it makes others uncomfortable, I will love who I am."

I really hope Ms. I story resonates with at least one person. Feel free to share her inspirational journey with your friends and family members. I cannot wait to have the chance to capture this beautiful soul again.

What is Sexiness Really About?

What is Sexiness Really About?

Dallas Boudoir Photography (17).png

Sexiness is all about your personality, being genuine, confident, and being a good person.

One of the most naturally sexy people I know is Ms. A. This outdoor boudoir photoshoot was extremely important for Ms. A and me to create together.

We took a situation that was bad and made it work. The truth is, I booked a makeup artist for this shoot. The makeup artist was supposed to arrive at 5:30AM... and he did, but he left because I overslept. I didn't wake up until 6AM. While Ms. A stayed around, he did not. Personally, I don't blame him.

In the interim of trying to rework this shoot, we found an even better concept that lied within it. This is why I always say when things don't go your way something better is about to come. God's Plan is a real concept, and I felt that this series personified that. Instead of completely nixing the idea because the makeup artist left (and would not return my calls... I laugh now), Ms. A suggested that she do the whole story without any makeup.

Dallas Boudoir Photography (4).png

Why? She wanted to prove that women could be powerful, desirable, and beautiful without having to wear makeup. Ms. A had just recently given birth and she wanted to show that confident sexiness is created from within. Makeup should be used to enhance who we are, not veil it. Regardless if makeup is used or not, your natural sexiness and feminity will come through if you truly embrace and own your self-worth.

Dallas Boudoir Photography (20).png

Therein lies the beauty of working with secure and confident women. In each one of these pictures, you can clearly see that Ms. A is extremely comfortable with who she is. Makeup, men, social media... none of that defines who she is or what she does.

I wish I could sprinkle her confidence on everybody that I shoot with. The world would be better off with women who validate their own beauty. There is no need for anyone to cosign who you are when you truly love the woman that you created.

Dallas Boudoir Photography (22).png

Makeup is awesome... Don't get me wrong... but you shouldn't have to feel, as a woman, that you HAVE to wear makeup to be accepted. Makeup is a tool designed to enhance the beauty that is already there.

Be who you are.

You are built to be incredible.

Anyone who tells you differently

can go fuck themselves.

Dallas Boudoir Photography (1).png

Major shoutouts to Ms. A. She merc'd this session! She got up at 5 a.m. on December 31st in cold as fuck weather to play around in lingerie before anyone in Downtown Dallas woke up. I always work with the best people either on the 31st of December or January 1st because that's how I want my year to start. Ms. A through the session showed me that 2018 was going to be about breaking the mold and challenging the status quo. Ms. A showed me through her ideas, action, spirit, and her work ethic, that in order to break out one must be different. Everyone needs an Alina in their life. Thank you woman!

Love,

Korin

Why Women Do Boudoir Sessions

BOudoir Dallas 2021 (7).jpg

One of the best things about running a boudoir blog is having an endless archive of inspirational photos that I can share with people all over the world. One of my favorite compliments is when a past client reaches out to me in excitement seeing their photos on Pinterest as inspiration to someone else.

You never know who you are inspiring when you begin to walk in your own truth.

The fact of the matter is that we each are someone's goal in life. I have many women come to see me for many different reasons. Some of them for wedding gifts, others for birthday gifts, many to celebrate weight journeys, but the ones that always stick out are my clients who do this once they have been diagnosed with a life-changing illness.

Dallas Boudoir Blog 2021 (1).jpg

Ms. A is a personal friend of mine. We have known each other since college. We met through a sorority sister of mine. While I won't share with the world what her exact diagnoses was (thank GOD the doctors said she was in remission!), I will say that she had one of the rarest forms in the world. So rare that she didn't fit the spectrum who would contract this disease.

Let me tell you, Ms. A is a F-I-G-H-T-E-R to her pure core. I remember visiting her in her hospital room not afraid for her future. Because I knew her story wouldn't end up the way that so many who contract this rare disease do. I knew with absolute faith that she would conquer this. Ms. A is not one to go down easy in a fight. I don't know if I have ever seen her lose one. She is an angel protected by the spirit of God and love.

Dallas Boudoir Blog 2021 (6).jpg

One of the things she loves doing the most is helping the unhoused. Every year before her illness she held a HUGE yearly event where a bunch of friends would come together on Christmas day and spend it helping the homeless. Every year, she would cry at the end of it. Knowing that there was so much more to be done to help these souls.

The unhouse community always received us with warm love. They loved that we came and brought them REAL food (often during the holiday season people give them nothing but candy. Therefore they loved when we gave them nutritious food). They loved that we prayed with them. Talked to them. Took Photographs with them... like they were real people… because they are. Even before the event, Alisa would go down to the unhoused areas and speak to some of the main leaders of these encampments to see how we could help them. She wanted people to see our unhoused sisters and brothers as real people who have real issues and to not ignore them. She is an advocate for the unheard and a warrior for us all.

BOudoir Dallas 2021 (1).jpg

This is why this set is so special to me. While Ms. A is a trained dancer, what makes these photos so beautiful is that you can see her magnificent spirit radiates through each frame. She took these photos perhaps a year after being first diagnosed. She was still going through her treatments and may have just finished them. While she was still weak and lost a ton of weight from everything, she powered through our session together.

When I see her I feel power, tranquility, leadership, warrior, and nurturance.

I see a living Goddess.

BOudoir Dallas 2021 (3).jpg

So when people come to me assuming women come to me to "just look sexy", I have to let them know that.... that's not what boudoir is about. Yes, looking good is a by-product of it, but women want to revel in their natural feminity because the world will put us through some of our toughest journeys... some that may even, quite literally, have us fighting for our lives.

Thank You Ms. A for granting me the privilege of photographing you. You are amazing.

5 Tips to Increase Confidence in 2021

5 Tips to Increase Confidence in 2021

Dallas Boudoir 2021 (7).jpg

One of my favorite things about having a boudoir blog is being able to share additional photos from the portfolio and providing a more in-depth look and understanding of the photoshoots and some of the behind-the-scenes.

If there is only one rule in boudoir you must follow its portraying confidence. No one does it better than Jill.

If you have ever shot with me, there is a good chance that Jill was there as she is my friend and main hairstylist for Wonderland Boudoir. Jill is a master in all things hair. I mean that. She's actual a professor in hair at a local accredited school in Dallas. On top of being a full-time educator, she also runs her own hairstyling business. If that wasn't enough she also has her wig line where she creates customer wigs for her clients. I honestly don't know how she has the time.

Jill breathes so much life in me. She has one of the best attitudes I have met. She makes everyone feel comfortable as soon as she meets them. When she's available to shoot with me she always takes her time to make sure the client feels comfortable. She wants to know about your entire life story, and she also mentally preps you for the shoot.

I have done several boudoir sessions with Jill. She allows me to experiment and try new looks. Because Jill can do hair and makeup and already knows what to expect from my shooting style, all I have to do is concentrate on creating beautiful art.

Due to Jill's confidence and dedication to create outstanding images, I can create some of the best images. Today I want to provide 5 steps on how to become confident.

Dallas Boudoir 2021 (2).jpg

1.) STOP CARING WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK

Okay, if you leave with NOTHING else today this needs to be it. I get it. This Is SuCh A cLiChe. While that may be true, that doesn't erase the fact that you have to STOP GIVING A FUCK about what people may or may not thinking about you. Let me leave you with a God to honest truth. No one is thinking about you as much as you're thinking about yourself. The main person judging your existence is you. Too often do we project our insecurities onto other people. This sometimes leads to creating a false narrative.

One of the best books I have read about building self-confidence is the Subtle Art of Not Giving a fuck by Mark Manson. This book provides an authentic account of how much better your life becomes when you stop focusing on the things or people who don't matter.

Don’t wake up 30 years from now upset you didn’t live the life you wanted due to baseless fears. Even if they are legitimate, you owe it to yourself to try. For you. You are reason enough.

Dallas Boudoir 2021 (1).jpg

2.) Be Unapologetically Yourself

Self-love is the greatest middle finger of all times. We live in a world that tries to constantly remind us that if we aren't wearing these clothes, have the best bodies, or if don’t have the latest bag then we are losing in life. While I'm all for new clothes or a hot new make-up or hairstyle, remember that those things don't define who you are. Those are a mask. You can buy as many designer sunglasses as your want, but that won't cover up any doubts of self-love you have for yourself. Material possessions don't define you.

Dallas Boudoir 2021 (8).jpg

3.) It's okay to ask for help

This one was a personal hard one for me. For a long time (and at times, still is) one of the hardest things you can do. For me, it's because I don't want to be a burden to my family or friends. I also don't want to seem weak or look like I can't solve issues myself. But the fact is, at some point in life, we are all going to need help. You have to let go of your ego and pride to do that. Allowing yourself to show your vulnerabilities creates a deeper bond with the person you are sharing them with. Thus creating a stronger connection.

Dallas Boudoir 2021 (4).jpg

4.) BLOCK IS YOUR FRIEND

Block people, accounts, phone numbers, social media sites, or anything that makes you question who you are or your self-confidence. I will be transparent here. There are several photographers that I muted on Instagram. Not because they aren't incredible and create some of the most gorgeous content I have ever seen. It's because I was spending way too much time comparing my progress with theirs. While I know that my journey and path are not the same as theirs, it still was painful to see them living this life of pure entrepreneurship travel, and everything people dream of. It hurt to block them, but my mental health and the goals I set for myself were way more important to me. Block is a true ally on the road to self-confidence. Yes, while I know not everything you see is what you really get on social. I still blocked them.

Dallas Boudoir 2021 (3).jpg

5.) Your Past Does Not Define You

Listen, we are all an accumulation of our past decisions. One of the most counterproductive things we can do as we grow in our journey is constantly looking back and reveling in past mistakes. You need to permit grant yourself forgiveness for things that happened in the past. You need to move past embarrassing mistakes... or better yet, fully own them. Fact is, we are going to stumble often on this journey. No one is immune to that. Perfection is a pure myth. Allow yourself to write a new story and start a new life. Leverage the lessons you learned in the past to help forge a better future with you. Let your past be the catalyst for a beautiful life.

I hope you loved these awesome shots of the lovely Jill. If you want to schedule a session with me, fill out the form below, and let's take the next steps.

Outdoor Boudoir With a French Tub Full of Oranges | Dallas Boudoir Photography

Dallas Boudoir, Wonderland Boudoir Outside Boudoir Tub Lemons Oranges

It's not very often that I have the opportunity to shoot my own creative boudoir concepts.  I still work full time and juggling that with a full-time boudoir business can make sneaking some "just for me" shooting time in rare.

An opportunity did come up in late last summer.  Every year I try to attend the Double Toasted anniversary party in Austin, Texas (my hometown).  When I'm in town I like to host sessions where I shoot people that come in for the gathering.

One day before the anniversary party,  I was on Instagram drooling over my fave photographers latest postings when I came across this beautiful location that I assumed was in the South of France. I saved the photo as inspiration and moved on.  Through the course of 2017 I would see this location randomly pop up on my feed. I would pray that I could find a location that beautiful.

Dallas Boudoir, Wonderland Boudoir Outside Boudoir French Tub Lemons Oranges Citrus-14.jpg

One day I was talking to my friend Danielle, who is part of the Double Toasted crew, and she showed me photos of a recent shot she had done in Austin.  Low and behold it was in the same location that I bookmarked a number of times.  I freaked out and quickly asked her about the whereabouts of this beautiful location.  She told me it was this secret location in Austin.   She gave me the details of the place and we went half on booking my dream setting.

I knew I was going to shot Danielle, but I wanted to shoot another girl to maximize this dreamy location.  Jazzy came across a beautifully melinated woman from San Antonio named Michele.

Michele was a TREASURE to work with (as you can see from the photos).  Michele loves doing boudoir and signed on to this personal project because she loved the concept.

Dallas Boudoir, Wonderland Boudoir Outside Boudoir French Tub Lemons Oranges Citrus-3.jpg

Outdoor Boudoir Concept

I always shoot three looks when I do personal sessions.  I like to have versatility.  I feel like every good story had three acts.  I also take into consideration the type of emotion I want my muse to display.  Being evocative sells the image.

In Michele's case we I wanted something that was hot, passionate, full of desire and confidence.  Boy did she delivery!

Look one was a simple bodysuit that Danielle donated for this shoot.  This beautiful piece was from Victoria's Secret.  You can never go wrong with a bodysuit from Victoria's Secret.  When doing a boudoir session outside it's very important to consider the time of year.  Our outdoor boudoir session was in August so summer was in full swing.  During summer we still have a lot of green but because we are in Texas there is a lot of warmth in nature. While the bodysuit had a lot of detail it was monochromatic.   I wanted the cream bodysuit because it did show warmth without competing with Michelle.

If I'm to be honest, I really like shooting with monochromatic pieces.  I don't like busy prints in photos.  I feel as though it takes away from the muse and the story.

For the makeup, Jazzy decided to highlight Michelle for the Gods!  We wanted an out of this world yet healthy glow to her skin.  Her makeup perfectly matched her skin complexion, but again, it did not compete with her.  We wanted her beautiful and natural color to illuminate to help push the story forward.

Dallas Boudoir, Wonderland Boudoir Outside Boudoir French Tub Lemons Oranges Citrus-6.jpg

The second look was a jaw-dropping dusty lavender piece that I picked up from Forever 21 with help from a stylist.  The thing I love about dark skin is that most colors look amazing against it.  This dusty purple was no exception.  I love burnt pastel colors (just take a look at my site).  I am drawn to burnt pastels because they have color but it's never over saturated.  I never like anything to complete with my muse.

Dallas Boudoir, Wonderland Boudoir Outside Boudoir French Tub Lemons Oranges Citrus-38.jpg

The last look was hands down my fave.  We have all seen milk baths, but I wanted to do something I had personally never seen... a citrus bath.  What better way to do that than a french tub outdoors in the Texas heat with a rusted chandelier hanging over us?

I decided that I wanted to stay on the warmer side of the spectrum with the fruits.  Therefore I cut up lemons, oranges, and grapefruit.  I believe I had 5 bags of fruit.  Let me tell you, I did not cut nearly enough citrus fruits.  To make this really work we needed a solid 8 bags of fruit.  We filled the tub up first then added the fruit.  Next, we had Michelle submerge herself in the lukewarm water.

Honestly, I wanted Michelle totally nude.  However, there were five people around in the outdoor area and I felt weird asking her to fully undress.  Therefore if I felt weird I didn't want Michele to feel that way either.  Not feeling comfortable while shooting shows on your face... and I can't Photoshop emotion.

Dallas Boudoir, Wonderland Boudoir Outside Boudoir French Tub Lemons Oranges Citrus-43.jpg

With that being said, outside of styling and location, the most important thing that you need to get correct in the photoshoot is emotion.  What do you want the viewer the feel? Do you want them to feel your sadness?  How about happiness?  Or perhaps you just want the viewer to want you.  When shooting I do not expect my muse or client to know how to pose.  I help direct them in the way that I want them so we can get those epic shots. When shooting with Wonderland Boudoir you should never worry about not knowing how to pose.  We will show you what to do.

For emotion, we focused on confidence and desire.  My goal was to have the viewer wither want her or want to be her.

Below is a short interview we did with Michele regarding her boudoir experience with Wonderland Boudoir.

Before your session what were you expecting?  How was that different once you finished your session?

After Korin talked to me about her creative concept, and when I met her everything she what she talked about came to life, even better than I thought.

What was your favorite part of the whole process?
My favorite part was just being apart of the process and being able to model for Korin. She’s a creative individual and she is very enjoyable to work with.

What would you say to a woman who is on the fence about boudoir?  How was the session impacted your ideas of boudoir?

I would like to say to other women who are thinking about doing their first boudoir session, is that Korin will be the perfect photographer for you. She’s creative, she knows what she’s doing and makes you feel at ease throughout the entire shoot.

Now let me shower you with photos from this session!

Beautiful, Sexy Boudoir Photos in Dallas

Dallas Boudoir, Boudoir Dallas, Sexy Photographer Dallas, Sexy Photos in Dallas, Sexy Lingerie Dallas

I met this girl when I was 10 years old and what I loved about her is that she had so much soul!

I'm not sure what I did in my last life to deserve such a beautiful friend but I am happy that I have Ms. S in my life.  I'm not sure where exactly I would be in this life if I didn't have her.  Fortunately, I never have to worry about that.  I just pray that everyone in this life is blessed with their own Ms. S.

Dallas Boudoir, Boudoir Dallas, Sexy Photographer Dallas, Sexy Photos in Dallas, Sexy Lingerie Dallas

Even though we have lived in different cities as adults, I still feel like we have grown together.  Carving out our own paths in life has never steered us away from each other.

Dallas Boudoir, Boudoir Dallas, Sexy Photographer Dallas, Sexy Photos in Dallas, Sexy Lingerie Dallas

Ms. S is one of the most brilliant people you will ever meet.  Yes, I am saying that because I am totally biased.

Jesus, best friend our not, she is gorgeous.  I am happy she allowed me the opportunity to shoot her in such an intimate state.  Yes, even though we have bared our souls to each other... it can be kinda weird to bare your most physical parts to someone, even if it is your BFF.

In fact, and Ms. S will correct me if I'm wrong, but her mom was even surprised I hadn't seen her in the gift God gave her.  I just laughed because I NEVER thought about it... then again, why would I have?  LOL.  In 24 years or friendship, this had never come up.  LOL.

While she is the closest thing I will ever have to a sister, I still treated this session like I would any other client.  I went through the same talk with her as I would anyone else.  Even though she knows I have shot a number of amazing sessions with other women, it never really hits home until you're the one in front of the camera.

Just like all my beautiful clients, Ms. S was nervous.  Yes, even after 24 years or friendship she was nervous.  I can't blame her, I would be too.  You feel so vulnerable at the beginning of your session.  Not sure of what to do or how to do it. All you know is that you are here... in front of the boudoir photographer... and you have to finish this experience.

Just like all experiences, once you actually start taking the steps you will begin to drop that sense of fear.  You begin trusting my words, but most importantly, trusting yourself.  Creating sexy and intimate portraiture is a work of art.  Like all art, you HAVE to be okay with placing your authentic and vulnerable being out there.  At the end of that day, that's the true power in all this.  The power to expose your most vulnerable side to you for the world to see... and then just not giving a fuck about it.

Boudoir is about freedom of self-expression.  Having a boudoir session is about you.  It's the story yo want to tell. It is to celebrate your unique beauty, to set free your vulnerabilities, and just to give yourself permission to be your true and authentic self.

Dallas Boudoir, Boudoir Dallas, Sexy Photographer Dallas, Sexy Photos in Dallas, Sexy Lingerie Dallas, Curvy Women Sexy Photos

This is what I love about boudoir.  Women giving themselves permission to love who they really are without the care of what the rest of the world thinks.

What does Ms. S think?

I'd been interested in doing a boudoir session for myself for awhile. I was really intrigued with the idea of doing these empowering, self-loving pictures, just for me. But I kept freaking out that I wasn't skinny enough, or that I would see the pictures and have my worst fears about my body confirmed.
When I finally worked up the courage to do the shoot, Korin was a dream come true. Before we even got started, she walked me through step by step what she was going to do. She showed me the entire area where we would be shooting, told me her ideas for some various shots, and explained the rundown of the shoot. As she started taking pictures, Korin was very clear on everything she was doing - she would let me know when she was checking the light, she would tell me exactly how to pose, what to do with my hands, how to breath, what facial expressions to utilize. Korin knew everything she wanted from me! It was such a relief, because I've never been good at being a model, and Korin let me know every little thing that I needed to do.
I loved how relaxed the whole shoot was. I never felt rushed, or like I was being asked to pose in an uncomfortable way. I felt very secure, and I was assured that Korin would not let me look ridiculous in any of the pictures. Honestly, when I saw the finished product, I was literally at a loss for words. I knew the pictures were me, and I knew they hadn't been photoshopped, but the pictures looked so amazing that it took me a few seconds to realize that they really were of me! Korin brought out everything that I love about my body, and made me feel so empowered, beautiful, and confident! I'm already planning my next shoot with Wonderland Boudoir!!!

This right here is why I LOVE shooting boudoir.

The Art of Allowing Yourself to Live | Dallas Boudoir

For a long time, I was missing something in my photos.  Yes, many of them were technically correct, the editing was perfect, and I was getting the posing down for my clients... but there was just SOMETHING missing in them.  The draw-in factor if you will.  After meeting Denise Birdsong of Modern Love Photography two years ago I knew exactly what it was.

I was missing the emotional factor.

Art makes you feel something.

It wasn't until recently that I really felt like my photos moved people.

Anyone can take a decent looking photo.  I mean, how many beautiful sunset photos have we all seen?  It's not just a sunset that draws you in, it's the power of a beautiful sunset after a hard day that draws you in.  It's the fact that no matter what you create in this world God's art will always be best. It's the emotion that the image evokes that stays with you.  When emotion evokes something from the viewer that's when you know you have an epic photo.

The most memorable pieces of art communicate feelings.

The main difference with Wonderland Boudoir compared to many boudoir studios is the fact that we aim to produce evocative photos.  We want you to give yourself permission to own you.  When shooting, we go on a journey of feeling sexy, confident, loving yourself, and much more.  This is what separates us from everyone else.

When a session is booked with Wonderland Boudoir we want our clients' photos to feel like a piece of art.  When they see themselves we want them to feel beautiful, sexy, and confident.  We want them to know they are actually the woman they always dreamt they could be.
At Wonderland Boudoir we are offering you the time and space to be unapologetically yourself.  We provide an opportunity to cast away all the restrictions society has placed up.  We want you to go there with yourself.  We want you to own YOUR beauty.

You may not look like Chanel Iman, Karlie Kloss, or Kendell Jenner... but guess what?  You weren't meant to either.  You guys don't have the same journey.  Therefore stop comparing yourselves to them.

Own this journey.  Own your path.  Create magic.  Create art with us at Wonderland Boudoir.  Give yourself full permission to give us all your emotion.  Give us your anger, happiness, sweetness, and coyness.  Share all that with us to make sure you get the most out of your photos.

Don't know how to do that?  Don't worry. That is were come in.  I will help coach you through it so you can get the art that you have always dreamt off.  Give yourself permission to live.

This is your opportunity to create a memorable piece of art. Take advantage of it.
